About
How it started: I’m an interactive project manager who was once in need of a project in early 2009. During one of my interviews, I was asked by the president of the company what I was doing with my time. My answer was a little thin. Besides job hunting, I didn’t have much to say.
That night I sat down with a bottle of wine and created my personal website http://www.charlestrostle.com. The site is a little tongue and cheek and plays on my Right Brain / Left Brain. I basically started with a “black” canvas that fit nicely on my iPhone and went from there. The basic site was done about six hours later.
On the homepage, I included a number of my favorite quotes. I wanted a way to describe, in more detail, why these quotes were important to me. Three days later I was inspired to create this blog. This platform allows me to explain quotes like "Please, dear God, don't let me fuck up.", basically so future employers don’t think I’m a nut job.
What’s Next? I created “What’s the Significance” specifically to describe the meaning for the quotes I had chosen on my personal website. Then it hit me. Why not open the topics up and explore anything in our culture: politics, entertainment, economics, food, sports, you name it. I even started including some of my recipes for my friends. I know recipes don’t fit the mold for what this site is about but I only want to manage one blog so you’ll have to deal with it.
I’m having a good time writing and what I really want is to inspire creative thought, invoke your responses, and hopefully communicate to you why things are, and are not significant to me in our society.
Most of the topics I choose are from my life’s experiences but I’m happy to comment on anything that you have an opinion on.
